PRIVACY POLICY

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Display name. On first launch we ask for your first name only. This name appears on the global leaderboard. You can delete it at any time from the Settings screen.

Anonymous account ID. We sign you in anonymously via Firebase Authentication. No email address, password, or other personal identifier is required. The anonymous user ID is stored per-device and is lost on app uninstall.

Game data. Your best score and the level you reached are stored in Firebase Firestore and linked to your anonymous account ID. This data powers the global leaderboard.

Usage analytics. We collect anonymous gameplay events (game start, level complete, game over, catch count, etc.) via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the game. These events do not contain your name or contact information.

Crash reports. If the app crashes, a diagnostic report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics. Reports include device type, OS version, app version, and a stack trace. They do not include your name or game scores.

Advertising identifiers. We serve ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) to deliver personalised ads and measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time in your device settings:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for Rooster Catch
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• Display your name and best score on the global leaderboard
• Prevent cheating — scores are validated server-side before being written to the leaderboard
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
• Understand how players progress through levels to balance difficulty
• Show relevant advertisements to keep the game free

3. DATA SHARING

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the following service providers, each bound by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, Remote Config) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — Google Ads Privacy Policy

Leaderboard entries (display name + best score) are publicly visible to all players of the game.

4. DATA RETENTION

Your anonymous account, display name, and best score are retained until you delete your account. Analytics and crash data are retained for up to 14 months per Google's standard retention policy.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

Delete your account. Open the game → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your anonymous account, display name, and leaderboard entry from our servers. The action is irreversible.

Opt out of personalised ads. Use your device's advertising settings (see Section 1 above). You will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

GDPR / CCPA. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or California, you have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Rooster Catch is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. SECURITY

Scores are written to the leaderboard only through a server-side Cloud Function that validates each submission with Firebase App Check (App Attest on iOS, Play Integrity on Android). Clients cannot write directly to the leaderboard database.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
